2012 race better than ever!
Results are now available for the 2012 Bathurst Half Marathon and 10km. Check tomorrow’s Western Advocate and their website for photos and interviews.
The 2012 race was a great success, with our biggest ever field, and we’d like to take this chance to thank everyone who came along for the friendly spirit in which the event was conducted. It’s a pleasure for us to run the event and we look forward to doing it again next year.

The Bathurst Half Marathon and 10km is a fast, flat event, usually run in cool conditions in the friendly town of Bathurst, NSW. It’s well-known as the best free sausage sizzle in NSW, which also includes a running race. Everything you need to know is right here, from online entry to course profiles, to information on weather and accommodation.
Prizes
Cash prizes and medals are awarded to first, second and third, male and female in each event (Half & 10km).
Half 1st $150, 2nd $100, 3rd $50 10km 1st $100, 2nd $60, 3rd $40.
Winner of the Half Marathon is awarded the perpetual “Geoff Brown Trophy” named in honour of race patron and long time race director Mr Geoff Brown.
First Bathurst resident in the Half is awarded the Peter Cooper Memorial Trophy in memory of long time supporter Peter Cooper.
Cityfit Fitness Club donate a year’s free membership to first local male & female resident home in the half (2795 postcode).
Shane Cantrill’s Sportsman’s Warehouse donate a pair of running shoes to first local male & female resident home in the 10k (2795 postcode).
Western Advocate prize is awarded for the most improved time in the Half from the immediate year before.
All entrants will go into the draw for a range of gifts to be conducted during the official presentation & BBQ at approximately 11.45am. You’ve got a better than 1-in-10 chance so stick around as you must be present to claim a draw prize! Place your bib in the box at the finish.
